Familiarizing school staff and students with emergency procedures and protocols will lead to a much better response to a critical incident, and a more rapid and effective recovery.
School staff and students should work together with first responders, mental health professionals, community leaders, and parents to promote school safety and minimize the effects of crises or emergency situations.
